The ants are attracted by the high sugar content of the granules. They eat the agent or take it back to their nest to feed to the queen and larvae. This destroys the complete nest. If it is sprinkled the ants are killed by the contact. All the constituents of the Baygon Ant powder are quickly and completely degraded by the action of light and/or water.
